As the Haiti mission team prepares to depart for their trip, we've been studying and researching to learn as much as we can about the country and its people.  We've even been studying the Creole language so we may share a few words with the people we meet.  Pastor Christi Dye found a powerful documentary, produced by The Miami Herald, that examines Haiti's past, present, and future in light of the 2010 earthquake.  The hour-long program, Nou Bouke (We're Tired), is rated PG, and you may view it here:  http://vimeo.com/21211925.  A synopsis of the program appears below.

Nou Bouke, a Creole term for "We're Tired," focuses on Haiti's past, present and future in light of the apocalyptic January 12, 2010 earthquake that now marks a new chapter in the nation's history. The documentary presents a comprehensive look at the Haitian polemic as the Caribbean nation faces its most challenging crossroads due to the immense loss of life and destruction. It depicts the many perspectives that surround the hopes and aspirations of the Haitian people as they move forward into a future full of uncertainty.
