Prayer Team

"For it is God who is at work in you, inspiring both the will and the deed for His own chosen purpose." Philippians 2.13

God calls us to talk with him, to be in conversation with him. Prayer is how we do that. When we go to God in prayer, God always hears us. Yet, many times we need the support of others to pray with us and for us, to help us find our way, to beseech God for healing, or to bring comfort to those who are mourning. There are as many reasons for prayer as there are people who have needs.

Recognizing this need for community prayer, Christ Church uses our Prayer Team to lift up the needs of individuals, our church, the community, and our world.  Requests come into the church through cards filled out in worship on Sunday morning, through phone calls, through requests made in person, & through requests in an email. With the permission of the person requesting prayer, the prayer need is then sent to the members of the prayer team by a pastor, and the prayers are lifted up by the team.  The team meets on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 am in the library.  If you'd like to join the prayer team or learn more about the group, please contact Sharon Guyer ( ).

If you have a prayer request, you may send it electronically to Pastor David Goehring, call him at the office (969-8820), or simply fill out a prayer request card that can be found in the pew racks.  The card may be dropped in the offering plate or given to a pastor at the end of worship. Be sure to indicate whether your request is for the pastors only or for the prayer team as well.
